Base release system with 3 rings

 

The 3-ring system has been used in skydiving since the 1980s.

The pilot can detach from the main canopy by opening a base jumping parachute.

Using this system adapted to paragliding significantly increases safety, reducing opening times.

Some advice on the BASE PARACHUTE for your MK1 PRO:

Your base parachute must have a few key modifications compared to a standard base jumping parachute. This is why Woody Valley has cut a supply deal with ATAIR (https://ataircanopies.com/visionWS.html) for you.

We strongly advise you to buy your base parachute directly from Atair.

In filling out your order form (https://ataircanopies.com/order/visionWS), you must specify "Woody Valley MK1 PRO" in the comment section so that the base parachute you'll get will have all the needed modifications by default for your MK1.

Regarding sizes, we suggest 205 feet up to 90 kg, 225 feet up to 110 kg and 245 feet over 110 kg (the weight is meant for pilot+equipment).

As far as colours are concerned, we suggest not choosing any colour (which means accepting the one available at the time) to reduce the delivery time (the delivery time, if you choose the custom colour option, would be around 20 weeks)

The double emergency 

 

MK1 pro has two containers for the reserve parachute placed under the seat, in the front on the left and right, under the seat, in the front on the right and left.

Any reserve parachute specifically designed for paragliding can be used.

The MK1 pro comes complete with four parachute deployment handles.
